Mr. EDMOND MARTES – TREASURER
Edmond Martes joined the CIFA board in February 2016, as representative of the IBA (International Bankers Association). Edmond is the Head Finance for the Dutch Caribbean at RBC Royal Bank, responsible for Finance matters of the operations in Curaçao, St. Maarten, Aruba and the BES islands.
Edmond was born in Curaçao and holds a master’s degree in Business Economics at the University of Tilburg (formerly Katholieke Universiteit Brabant). Edmond started his career in Amsterdam, The Netherlands at PWC (formerly Coopers & Lybrand), in 1989. Edmond returned to Curaçao in 1992 and continued with PWC in Curaçao. Edmond joined ABN Amro Bank in 1995 where he started his banking career. In 1999 he moved to Orco Bank and in 2003 he continued his banking career at RBTT Bank. In 2008, RBTT Bank was acquired by RBC Royal Bank.
With 21 years of experience in the International Financial Service Industry in Curaçao, Edmond has good knowledge and experience to assist CIFA in primarily the promotion and development of the international banking sector of Curaçao.
