Mrs. ZULEIKA LASTEN – MEMBER
Zuleika Lasten, born and raised in Curaçao, studied fiscal law at the University of Tilburg (Katholieke Universiteit Brabant) and completed the Tax Business MBA at The Netherlands Business School (Universiteit Nyenrode). She started her career in 2000 at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Netherlands. In 2003 Zuleika moved to her home country Curaçao and continued her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers Dutch Caribbean where she was appointed Tax Partner as of 1 July 2013.
PricewaterhouseCoopers Dutch Caribbean with offices in Curaçao, Bonaire, Aruba and St. Maarten, provides industry-focused assurance, tax and advisory services to build public trust and enhance value for local clients, international investors and their stakeholders.
In her 12 years of experience working at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Zuleika was actively involved in developing and promoting new competitive products and services on international markets in particular in Latin America and providing solutions to international investors by means of tax efficient local and international planning and structuring via Curaçao.
Considering that the international financial services sector continues to be one of the major pillars of the Curaçao economy, the role of CIFA is eminent. As a member of the board (of CIFA), Zuleika is determined to give a direct contribution to the effective and efficient realization of the objectives of CIFA in its endeavor to further positioning Curaçao as a globally competitive Financial Service Center. Zuleika looks forward to provide fresh perspectives, solutions and practical advice and share and collaborate with the other members of the board of CIFA to achieve this goal. The understanding of the financial services industry and the dynamic environment, in which it operates, enables Zuleika to serve the interest of the members of CIFA and the stakeholders of the financial services sector of Curaçao as a whole.
